Prepare a 1,250 – 1,750 word paper discussing current and possible future national health care spending in the United States. National health care spending encompasses both private insurance expenditures and government expenditures, not governmental alone. Your discussion must be supported with statistical or research related information, or current published articles that relate to your discussion, in other words, your discussion cannot be strictly opinion or assumptions. Include information:
- The level of current level of national healthcare expenditures;
- Whether the spending is too much or not enough;
- Where we, as a nation, should add or where we should cut, and why;
- How the health care needs of the general public are paid for, e.g. financed by the various payers and indicate the percentage of total care spending they represent i.e. governmental and private insurers.
- What is biggest economic “challenge” for the health care system in the upcoming decades;
- Why does this “challenge” have to be addressed;
- How you envision that this “challenge” will be financed.
