7. Applicants must have an overall GPA of at least 2.0 from previous coursework and a pre-requisite curricular GPA of at least 2.5 to be considered for admission. 8. Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA to be eligible to continue in the Nursing Program and may not have more than two attempts at any course. Students must submit a copy of test results with application. Test results must be no older than 3 years at the time of application. Specific details regarding the required entrance test are located on the program website. The clinical application is different than the application to Graduate School, and can be found on this website. Because of this it’s good to browse the list of academic institutions that give graduate nursing courses to determine those that possess a suited course. Clinical for both tracks: The clinical components/experiences for each course are face-to-face and are dependent on the availability of clinical faculty and the availability of clinical sites/locations. Internet courses are not acceptable unless there is a supervised demonstration component.

5. All accepted students must have current CPR certification through the American Heart Association: BLS Healthcare Provider. Current LPNs, Paramedics, and some Military Medics will be eligible for a Healthcare Professional Exemption. You will complete professionally-related courses anatomy and physiology, psychology and sociology, nutrition and ethics. Nursing courses completed in 1.5 years. Includes summer nursing courses. Evening/Weekend program includes summer nursing courses. Accelerated program includes summer nursing courses. Nursing courses completed in 2 years. ADN programs, offered by community and junior colleges, take about 2 to 3 years to complete. Nursing courses completed in 2.75 years. No summer nursing courses in the Standard program. 9. Students are responsible for additional expenses mandated by the program and these include, but are not limited to: course materials, uniforms, lab kits, nursing equipment, current computer and electronic tablet, hardware, software and internet access. Only one nursing course per semester. Hybrid Distance Education Track (HDET): The theory portion of each course is delivered via online format facilitated by faculty.
Traditional Track: The theory portion of most traditional courses are delivered in the on-campus classroom environment facilitated by faculty. Students are strongly encouraged to seek guidance from advisors while preparing for the application process. It is recommended that students read posted materials at least once a semester.
