Given this variety, apply your readings and understandings about career theories and consultation to the case scenario about Joe in your course text—Case 3-3 The Reluctant Decision Maker, pages 109–112.

Apply a theoretical framework either from the trait-oriented perspective or from the social learning and cognitive perspectives to the scenario. State which theory you are applying, and review how this theory could be used to assist the client.
