Week 8: Question for Discussion
(Week # 8: June 22to June 28- Main post under Assignment by Wed, June24at 11:59 PM EST).
Students are required to post a minimum of three times per week (1 main post answering the question 100% before Wednesday at 11:59 PM EST and 2 peer responses by Sunday at 11:59 PM EST). The three posts in each individual discussion must be on separate days (same day postings / replies will not be accepted).
Chapter 16 – Yoga.
Chapter 17 – Meditation.
1. What is meditation? Discuss the benefits of meditation? (mention at least 3).
2. Is there any research study that support the benefits discussed? Have you ever practiced meditation? Discuss your experience?
Guidelines: The answer should be based on the knowledge obtained from reading the book (only the last part of the question is your opinion/ experience). You must answer all the questions. Your grade will be an average of all parts of the question.
Grading Criteria: Discuss what is meditation? (25%). Discuss the benefits of meditation? (mention at least 3) (30% – 10 points each). Is there any research study that supports the benefits discussed? (30%). Have you ever practiced meditation? Discuss your experience? (15%).
