Roles and Responsibilities of the Sport Coach Case

As described on the Module 2 Home page, the role of the sport coach is diverse and includes many responsibilities. The coach needs to create the right conditions for learning to happen, and he or she must find ways to motivate the athletes (Szabo, 2012).

An individual coach’s personality, and the beliefs and values that he/she shares, will also greatly impact the coach’s behavior and interaction with players on the field and in the training room.

Using information from the assigned readings and your own research, write a paper describing the issues below, keeping in mind that coaching occurs at many different levels of athletics, including interscholastic sports, intercollegiate sports, and professional sports.
