For this assignment prepare a handout for expecting parents on the “Dos and Don’ts” for promoting healthy pregnancy, optimal prenatal development, and best practices in early infant care. Your handout should be educational and practical in nature and written in language accessible to general public. Consider such items as potential chromosomal and genetic risks, teratogens and environmental hazards, optimal nutrition/effects of malnutrition, breastfeeding, post-partum depression, the importance of early bonding, early signs of developmental problems, etc. Provide a general introduction to the importance of prenatal care and make sure that your handout has at least 10 “dos” and 10 “don’ts.”Support your work with a minimum of three scholarly resources.
