In Milestone Two, you will identify the three domains that will complement your concentration and give you the breadth of capability necessary to realize your specific goal.

Please see Attached file for Guidelines and Rubric. The milestone one was submitted last week, I have attached is here, too. Please check this essay to get some idea what is my goal.

The three concentration of my degree are Information Technology, Mathematics, and communication.

This is what I have from my Professor:

“In the previous module, you started identifying your SMART Goals. These will help you organize your goals into actionable items so you can actually accomplish them. One of the purposes of this is to embrace the concept of becoming a T-shaped professional. A T-shaped professional possesses depth of expertise in a particular area (which makes up the vertical portion of the “T”) and breadth of capability in a number of other areas (which makes up the horizontal portion of the “T”). These general areas of breadth are referred to as domains. Domains are categories used to group your strengths/weaknesses. You may also see these described as domains of study, which refer to different skills, knowledge, or abilities that you have learned throughout your journey. As you consider your domains for this week’s Milestone, keep in mind how they will help you exude grit and accomplish your goals.

In this module, you will identify the three domains that round out your academic plan of study. The Bachelor of Arts in General Studies (BA.GST) degree provides flexibility in terms of deciding which domains you choose to focus on during your studies. This degree can be very attractive to potential employers because, when well designed, it ensures you gain both depth and breadth of capability. The domains complement the concentration. Consider, for example, that while a volunteer math tutor needs to have deep expertise in mathematics, domains like interpersonal communication and planning are useful and complementary. By thoughtfully designing your academic plan of study, you can develop the domains required to accomplish your specific goal.”
