I need a response to this assignment2 referencesThis patient will benefit for family cognitive behavior therapy. The family CBT is focused on supporting members to act and think more adaptively, along with learning to make better decisions to create a friendlier, calmer family environment (Nichols, 2014). The goals of a family cognitive-behavioral assessment are to (1) identify strengths and problems in individuals, the couple or family, and the environment; (2) place individual and family functioning in the context of developmental stages; and (3) identify cognitive, emotional, and behavioral aspects of family interaction that might be targeted for intervention (Nichols & Davis, 2020). ÿCBT is used extensively for individuals, couples, and family therapy sessions.ÿ One strategy to use applying CBT during a family therapy session is to family members be who they are and tell their own story. This allows the therapist to understand each member individually and what their role is in the family and how that can improve the broken family system (Halder & Mahato, 2019). It is also important for the therapist to be aware of his or her biases and disregard any sought based status, class, gender, or demographics.ÿIt is advised that behavioral experiments and homework assignments are planned with family members’ active participation (Halder & Mahato, 2019).In conclusion, CBT for children, adolescents, and family integrates different approaches depending on the base of the client’s need. As a PMHNP, it is essential to know about the effectiveness, and the challenges of psychotherapy s/he can offer.ReferencesHalder, S., & Mahato, A. K. (2019).
