ART100 Grossmont College Elements and Principles of Artwork Design Paper

You will be applying your knowledge from the first discussion topic (on elements of design/principles of design) to specific artworks around you. This discussion will take more careful looking!

ART EXPERIENCE: find images/objects of a variety ofmediums/methods/medias in your daily life. Not from the internet. You must take photographs of the actual images/objects.

Mediums: Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Carving, Modeling, Assembling

Methods and Medias: kinetic, relief

After you have collected at least 18 examples (at least two tiled images- see example of layout below), make a visual diary (tile images) of all you have found. Include this visual diary as a series of a few Instagram “layouts” (like the layout example below).

1. Please describe the Mediums or Methods and Medias that you are identifying.

2. Each “layout” should have several photos, that are all describing the same visual element.

Below is just an example of how to create a “layout” using at least 9 images. Each one of your “layouts” should incorporate around 9 images in total and must be addressing the same VISUAL ELEMENT. As well as the mediums above.
